Breakfast in Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier
Restaurant/places to eat in Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier
Lobby or reception in Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier
Firstly, I travel to Japan for work at least a half dozen times a year. However, this was the third trip my wife and I have taken together and the second Mitsui hotel we have stayed in and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The hotel starts on the 16th floor. There is a very nice private lobby on the ground floor and two lifts that take you to the 16th floor where you’ll find reception and the restaurant. The rooms start on the 17th floor. As the building is rectangular, every room, regardless of which side of the hotel you are on, faces the city of Tokyo so the views are spectacular. Also, in reception, there’s a huge picture window with sofas looking out and the view, particularly at sunset, is awe inspiring. The rooms are incredibly well designed and laid out and have every facility you could wish for. Like everything and everywhere in Japan, the rooms (and the hotel) are spotlessly clean. If you haven’t stayed in a hotel room in Japan (and particularly Tokyo) hotel rooms are small. I heard one British guest complaining at reception about this but it’s the way it is in Japan so do your research prior to booking. Breakfast is amazing, plenty of choice of both Western, Asian & Japanese food. My wife and I are both vegetarian so we had less choice but still enough so we could enjoy a great breakfast each day. The staff are exceptionally helpful (like everyone I’ve met in Japan) and always go the extra mile. The location is perfect. 8 to 10 mins walk to central Ginza (the Wako/Seiko department store, Mitsokosha, etc). The walk there is exceptionally nice as the streets are full of restaurants and shops. Finally, and separately from the hotel, from all Terminals at Narita and Haneda Airports, you can catch the Airport Limousine bus (you’ll see them everywhere at the airports and in Tokyo) directly to the hotel. It literally stops right outside the lobby. We took the bus from T1 in Narita and bought the tickets at the counter in the arrivals hall.

Great location for exploring the glitzy Ginza district. This is a larger hotel and at times can be a bit busy. At peak times we had to wait a few minutes to enter the breakfast buffet. The buffet itself was excellent including a lovely duck pancake. A filling breakfast that kept us going most of the day. The 16th floor reception is also the lounge. It too can be a little busy at time. Our room was, no other way to put it, small. We managed but found ourselves tumbling over each other at times. If I were to stay again I would look for a larger room. Surprisingly the bathroom tile had some mould. Not much but not what I expected from a higher end hotel. Staff were very helpful and the reception staff have good basic English language skills. I should mention that nearby (easy walking distance) there is a lovely park (you can see it from the 16th floor reception) which is ideal when you want a short break from the glitz and glamour of the Ginza. There is tea house there which serves matcha and a pastry. We arrived on the Shinkansen at Tokyo station and took a taxi from there to the hotel. I would recommend this if you have a luggage. Similarly we took a cab to Haneda which cost $75 (Canadian) rather than the Limousine bus (which stops around the corner from the hotel) or a cab to one of the subway stations. Fixed price cabs are available (but booking them proved to be an issue). They charge around $90 - $100. If you are not in a heavy traffic period you will probably save money taking a regular cab. The newer Toyota cabs, modelled on the London UK taxis are very comfortable. And most drivers we encountered could speak a little English.

Everything was spotless, and the staff were extremely polite. The hotel is located in a pleasant area, just a few minutes’ walk from public transportation and a lively shopping district. It offers easy access without the overwhelming crowds. There are plenty of great food spots nearby, and it’s conveniently close to Shimbashi. Rooms: The room was excellent — the bed and linens were of top quality, and we loved the unobstructed city view from our window, which made the stay even more special. Amenities: A wide range of complimentary items was available, including creams, lotions, shaving kits, combs, and more. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The hotel's location is perfect – it is in the heart of the city, with easy access to the Airport Limousine Buses. Their room is not just always super clean and quiet but also equipped with all the necessary amenities for a trouble-free stay (e.g., comfortable bed for someone with spinal issues, adapter, cable, etc.). Above all, the staff's kindness is amazing. They are always willing to go the extra mile to assist you with all your concerns, from promptly answering all your queries during the booking stage to ensuring a smooth and hassle-free checkout process.

The hotel is located in Ginza very close to the main street, close to all the shops and restaurants.. Hotel lobby is on the 16th floor, great view and helpful staff at the reception. Rooms are on 17-25 floors. The room I booked was small, however it wad ok for one person. For two it is probably too small as there's not much space for luggage. Nice and soft pajamas to use, also the shower was big and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious offering a variety of different selections.
